Hola!
i have no idea when i last emailed but i think its been a while so thought id fill u in on my adventures!
been in argentina for about 3 weeks now and have loved every minute of it. after the waterfalls we headed down to buenos aires. lots of steak eating, wine drinking and tango dancing. we stayed here for a week which was probs a bit too long but we found it difficult to leave! we went to look around the cemetry full of the dead rich and famous including evita, went to boca which is where all the coloured buildings are, on my birthday went to watch boca juniors play river plate! it was such an amazing atmosphere! bit scary tho when the boca fans started throwing their chairs at the river fans below cause they were losing! in the evening we went to a place called san telmo which is a small area in buenos aires, with cobbled streets and old fashioned lamps, very european, where there was a band playing electro tango music and they had layed cardboard down on the floor for people to dance on. all the locals joined in and we sat and watched.
had a tango lesson and went to watch a tango show at the oldest tango cafe in the country. had some amazing meals, and drank lots of red wine. the steak is really as good as everyone says!everyone is so friendly. we always got kisses from the manager and our waiter when we left a restaurant and if we went back to the same place we always got a warm welcome! my spanish is coming along nicely…there is alot of spanglish talk goin on! but everyone is always very helpful.
for my birthday meal we went to a bit more of a pricey place. we got 3 pieces of steak cooked to perfection on a wooden board with four ramikins with cous cous, cabbage, houmous, guacamole each and then another plate with potatoes, roasted garlic, sweet potato, mushrooms, and a rocket salad, bread and bread sticks a bottle of wine and some water all for under ten pounds!
on our last day we went to an all you can eat grill and salad bar. it was about 5 pounds per head. you just go up to the grill and point to the meat u want and have as much as u like and the salad was amazing too, and we got a bottle of wine…each… and dessert included! sorry mum i did drink it but it was over about 3 and a half hours if that makes it any better!! we then had a bus to catch and made it by a couple of minutes!
we arrived in puerta madryn which is on the east coast about 18 hours south! this is where we went whale watching! when we arrived we went for a walk on thebeach and saw whales playing about 500 m away! you couldnt see much but every now and then they´d shoot water up out of their spout and u could see their flipper things. we then went back to the hostel and watched them from our balcony! the next day we went out on a boat to see them. we spent the whole time following a mother and her calf around. they were less than 50m away from our boat. it was by far the most incredible thing i have ever seen! they were so graceful, they would surface slowly and then their tail would rise out slowly and then go back down. they were also bloody huge! they both swam under our boat. i only saw the calf, you could see the perfect outline of its tail. i stupidly thought that it was the mother rather than the huge dark shadow next to it. i cant xplain how amazing it was. i still cant comprehend that this massive creature was swimming along side our boat especially after we went to the museum and saw the 11m long skeleton of one. i had no idea that it was that big!
the next day we went to see penguins and sea lions!
then 30 hour bus journey to ushuaia! the southern most city in the world! 13,500 km from home! its very cold and apparently its summer! unfortuantely we missed huskisledging by a few weeks!!did a walk up to a glacier well were suppose to but we turned round when we got caught in a blizzard! went to tierra del fuego national park and did another walk up the side of a mountain to look over the town. after about 3hours of stenuous climbing we made it partially out of the forest enough to see a little bit of the views. we were walkin on very deep snow, considering we could only see the tops of the trees im thinking it was very very deep! and very steep! we had to try and tread as carefully as possible ´because we kept falling through, i ended up falling over sideways as one leg went straight through upto thigh level while the other remained on the surface! we decided to turn back as it was pobably not safe!
we were suppose to go to torres del paine today but the bus was stopped on the border because of problems with some peoples passports so we are off tomorrow! not that bothered as love the hostel here! very small and cosy! and we get to watch the rugby now too!
as i said goin to torres del paine and goin to probably camp in the national park for a couple of days. although im a little gutted as we have been told that it is very rare u get to see the “torres” (or towers to u none spanish talking folk!!) because they are always covered in clouds! got lots of walking coming up so hopefully il drop a few pounds before i come home!
anyway thats about it for me i think. put photos on my blog thing which i cant write on because i dont know my user name or password…simon can u help me out!
missing u all lots and cant wait for christmas! lots of loveXX

Back on the Road
October 22, 2007 at 1:12 pm (Uncategorized)
hey guys!
of those of u who dont know im back on the road after 3 months in sydney and
thought mayb i should start emailing again! in santiago at the moment just
got back from a trip upto the border of bolivia and back again! stopped off
at a few beach places but considering its winter here they werent to
impressive. when we got further north tho it was awesome. made some good
friends and picked up a bit of spanish! spent most of the time in the desert
or in the mountains.
did a boat trip around some islands and saw about 6 dolphins swimming
alongside our boat which was pretty sweet. stopped off at a graveyard in the
middle of the desert which was really creepy. there was one grave that had
been half dug up and your could see half the skeleton and a little baby
coffin that you could see part of its head! really quite disturbing! there
are no paths around the graves either so u are fully aware u are walking
over dead people!
got up to about 2600m and the views over the salt planes were amazing. dont
know if its because ure thinking about it but it seemed harder to breath!
not sure how wll i’d do doing the inca trail which goes upto about 4000m!
i loved san pedro. its what i imagined south america to be like. really
basic but nice. would have taken some photos but we woke up to a flooded
room! all of our stuff was on the floor including my camera! it was
complelty dead for a few days but its starting to work a bit better now. the
night before this happened we all went out for dinner and then stayed up
drinking pisco at the hostel. our driver doesnt speak much english so i was
trying to speak spanish to him all night which looking back is quite
embarressing! its amzing how much more confident u get in speaking spaniosh
when u have had a few posco sours!
after san pedro we started back down south again. its independance day here
tomorrow so all weekend has been celebrations. we went out to a little bar
with a dance floor and were the only ‘gringos’ in there! drank pisco and
danced all night! the next day went to a pisco distillery or whatever they
are called. the smell nearly had us all throwing up! aftyer that went to a
small town in the mountains which was really nice. went horse riding which
was amazing. we rode up into the mountains along a very narrow path with a
massive drop below, made sure i didnt look down! the views were incredible!
i cant explain how beautiful it was. we stood at the peak on horseback just
looking over the mountains. i could have stayed there for hours! then we
walked down…scared the crap out of me! it was so steep!
anyways thats about it! in a bit of a rush as people are waiting to use the
computer so have to go.
mum il wait by the phone at about 8 tomorrow morning my time which is 1
there so if u get this message give me a ring.
jen and kim…see u tomorrow!
miss u all.

The end of New Zealand
October 22, 2007 at 1:11 pm (Uncategorized)
hey guys!
unfortunately it is coming to the end of my time in New Zealand and i am
gutted! this is by far the most beautiful place i have seen so far and i
have had the most amazing time! i have met loads of awesome people and
really dont want to leave. ive been black water rafting, white water
rafting, sky diving and i cant believe it but i did a bungy jump! never been
so scared in my life. i did it with heidi so i didnt actually jump by
myself! but it was really cool thing to share with her. i am gutted tho that
i didnt get to do the nevis, the 134m one. everyone went together to either
watch or do it and i was ill in bed! i was going to go and do it by myself
but its not quite the same when u dont have ure friends around u and also im
too scared!
the sky dive was in franz josef where the glacier was and it was the most
amazing feeling, throwing myself out of a plane and then looking around at
all the snow capped moutains! u do actually become a bit of an adrenaline
junky, always wanting the feeling again never wanting it to fade! we’ve done
amazing walks and seen amazing scenery including the glacier walk which was
awesome i was not however one of the stupid idiots who decide to jump in!
did not look fun! and mount doom from lord of the rings! twins did u do
this? fucking hard work but well worth it! sat on top of a volcano and ate
our lunch. our bums were burning but the rest of us was freezing! not
something u do everyday!
dont no if uve seen the photos on facebook but the reason im dressed as a
punk is because we had a P party and i went as a punk. just to clear that up
if u thought id gone a little weird!
stayed a week in queenstown and i love it! thinking of maybe doin a ski
season here next summer. every morning we’d open our curtains and look out
over the town with the mountains in the background! awesome! had many a
drunken nights in altitude bar and then off to world bar. and eaten many a
fergburger. little lambi is my favourite! nif u will be doing this all in a
few months to come and i am so envious! i want to do it again!
in christchurch now in the dingiest hostel and then off to fiji in a couple
of days! cant wait! although its suppose to be raining the whole time so may
not be getting my tan back! after that back to sydney! ahhhhh! really
scared! dont want to leave these guys either.
think thats about it from me! i think it was chars leaving do last night
hope u all had fun! char sorry i couldnt be there. not sure if i have her
right email address cause i emailed her and she didnt write back either that
or shes ignoring me! if idont could some one let me know what it is please.
ruth and jimbo u must be off to SA soon! have an amazing time and let me
know everything u do so i can get some tips!
love u and miss u all lots and lots!

From Brisbane onwards…
October 22, 2007 at 1:11 pm (Uncategorized)
hey all!
Sorry its been a while!
I’ll start from when i left Brisbane because its more interesting. Well maybe not but i had fun! I left everyone behind in Brisbane and am back on the road again by myself. I went to Noosa which was nice and I spoke to a few guys I recognised from further down the coast but was mainly by
myself.
I Took a surf lesson on the friday and I was shocking! I managed to stand up a few times but I am generally shite! This was my first bad day! It was Good Friday and it’s against the law in oz to sell alcohol on bank holidays so all bars were shut and it was pouring down with rain and I didnt have a book and the guys in my room were pretty lame! so I went to bed! Next day got up and did the coastal walk around the national park. The views were beautiful! It would have been nice to share it with someone else but you can’t have everything! Then I headed straight for the book shop and bought myself a book (Lovely bones) and sat in a cafe and read it over a nice cup of coffee! As long as i have a book I never get lonely! It took me a while but I think I finally get what you’ve been going on about Mum!
The next day I was off to Rainbow beach (where you do Fraser island from). I bonded with a couple of girls over a hangover and we put our names down together so we could go in the same group! Next day up early doors to load the 4×4 up with all the stuff we need for the next 3 days! Kate was designated driver first so us girls sat up front! Fraser island was awesome! We drove off the barge thingy and put into 4 wheel drive to head along the beach, just above where the sea reaches! it was pretty cool! Although on the odd occasion we miss
judged how far the water was coming up and we drove straight through
it…spaying over the windscreen and through the open windows! pretty scary
driving a 4×4 along a beach when you can’t see anything! Then it was my turn!
Without any practice I’m thrown into the deep end and am driving down the
dirt track to lake Mkenzie! it was so difficult! I thought I was going to kill
everyone! Anyway lake mkenzie was beautiful…the colours were amazing! A bit
scary how it just drops down into darkness though!
Back on the sand and we head for camp, set up our tents (pretty poorly i
must add) and cooked some dinner and played some drinking games and dug some holes and weed in them! You have to dig holes for everything otherwise it
attracts the dingos! The 2 boys in our group had a guitar and were in a
band. We layed on the beach looking at the stars while they played some
songs and we pretended to be back up singers (would have helped if we were
all singing the same words) saw 2 shooting stars and then went to bed.
Up early for another day of driving along the beach…this time to champagne
pools! I had a quick bathe and then back on the sand to find another camp!
Found a pretty cool spot and set up camp. Made an ensuite bathroom next door
to our tent! I made an awesome stir fry and then it started to rain so we
dived into our tents and fell asleep! Our tent then collapsed and was
blowing all over the place but we managed to rescue it!
Up early again the next day, chilled out while we had some breaky and headed
back to rainbow beach! That night was pirate night at the hostel so we
dressed up! won a few comps and generally made tits out of ourselves.
back on the road again alone and heading for town 1770! this place is pretty
cool…very chilled out. stayed at an awesome hostel…its brand new and
felt like i was at home. its quite small too so its nice that the owners
know ure name. second evening we did the scooteroo tour. they basically have
loads of mini choppers and we drove them around town. it was brilliant! at
first a little nervous but then i got the hang of it and was overtaking
people! we then stopped off to watch the sunset and have some wedges with
sour cream and sweet chilli (they have this everywhere in oz) yummy! and u
wonder why ive put on 11 pounds! then drove back in the dark which was a bit
scary! next day chilled out by the pool and then did the sunset kayaking!
fantasic! we rowed out to a little beach then did wave kayaking which is
like surfing but obvioulsy with a kayak! it was so much fun. u row out over
the massive wave which throw u in the air and then the wave smashes u
backwards! god only knows how i managed to land in my seat. then u turn it
around, wait for a good wave and row really hard then lay down backwards and
then just let it take u! u pick up quite alot of speed and get alot of water
sprayed in your face! luckily i didnt tip over but a couple of others nose
dived (this is what happens if u dont lay down and the right time) and the
kayak goes flying over your head! went back to the beach and sipped wine and
eat nibbles over the sunset and then rowed back! it was gorgeous!
next day got up and did the plane trip over the town. the sand formations
are beautiful to see from the air but every now and then he’d dip the plane
so it would just drop and ure stomach would end up in ure mouth! it was
horrible! spec considering i was a little hungover! then last night got the
night bus to where i am now…Airlie beach. im doing a boat trip around the
whitsundays on thursday which is for 2 nights 3 days. hopefully the weather
will be good! its half 9 and i cant check in till 12 and im very tired!
check out my photos ive added some more! sorry if this emails boring i have
rambled a lot!
love u lots

More stuff in Oz.
March 12, 2007 at 10:20 am (Uncategorized)
hey everyone!
Just arrived back in sydney after our 10 day trip! i think the last time i
wrote was after a very drunken incident at neighbours night which mum has
told me off about!!! since then i have travelled i think about 4000 km over
land! we left melbourne early thursday morning to set off down the great
ocean road and saw the 12 apostles. i got a helicopter ride over them as
well which was pretty cool! never been in a helicoptor before! and the views
were awesome! we stopped off to look at various land formations which being
a geography geek i loved! we stayed at a little town and had a barbeque and
wathed the sunset over the apostles! the beach was beautiful and was misty
so was very mysterious looking! didnt get any sleep this night cause the
boys saw a gekko in our room before we went to bed and all night i could
here it scuttering around!
the tour guides tell u stories about things as u go along which is good
cause learnt alot of stuff. useless info but stil intesting! went to a
waterfall and when we got back on the bus we realised we were one person
down!! we searched the area for about half an hour until we realised we had
left her at…not the last stop..but the one before! she was gone for 3
hours! and no one noticed! whoops! felt bad cause she was sittin in front of
me and i didnt notice!
saw lots of wild koalas and went hunting for kangeroos! (not to kill them,
just to find them) saw loads. tried to get close as possible! i was too busy
taking photos to take in what i was seeing until i put my camera down and
didnt realise how close these 3 kangeroos were to me! just staring straight
into my eyes! was the highlight of my day! it was awesome! really wanted to
get closer but evryone had left me and i was worried they may attack me!
considerin they pin u down with their arms and shred u apart with their back
feet didnt think this was a very nice way to go!
stayed at this couples place in the middle of know where. cooked some dinner
and sat out under the stars! if u get up early enough in th emorning u can
see kangeroos hopping about around their land!
next day did a bit of mountain climbing. the flies here are aweful. i cant
explain how annoying they are! constantly buzzing around ure head trying to
get into ure mouth, eyes, ears and nose. the reason being is because they
are searching for nutrients as they were born in shit! intersting fact,
huh?? then we set off for adeleide. suppose to meet evryone for drinks but
we fell asleep!
had a day in adeleide then set off up north on monday! today is mikes
birthday and being a hopeless sister didnt get him anythin and having no
signal couldnt even phone him! happy birthday again! hope ure not ignoing
me…i havent heard from u in a while!! we have another driver today and
another group! did a few walks through a gorge and to see some aboriginal
drawings on the cliffs! flies getting worse! stayed at a place where the
population is 5! flies here were intense! bought fly nets so were bit
better! we had to sit in the pub with them on too! swarms just follow u! and
if u stand stil ure covered in them! watched the sunset then had a
traditional aussie barbe of camel sausages, kangeroo steak and emu burgers!
delicious!
next day climbed another mountain and stayed at a nother small town where
lyndsay got eaten alive by bed bugs! feel very sorry for her…shes very
itchy! woke up early doors to set off for the beginning of the long drive!
800 km today! arrived in coober pedy which is the opal capital of the world!
there are mining holes evrywhere so ure not allowed to walk off as u could
fall down a very big ditch! they are not allowed to mine new areas anymore
only on their own land so they extend their homes so they can mine more!
illegally! some guy found over $250,000 worth of opal on his plot! i bought
a opal ring considering its my birth stone! which is another thing mum u can
have till i come home! everyone lives underground here! we stayed
underground too! pretty cool!
another early morning! got to drive to uluru or aires rock today another 800
km! arrived at camp and went to see the rock. i cant explain how huge it is!
it was amazing! just this random rock in the middle of know where! seeing it
has been the highlight of the whole trip…i was worried it would be an anti
climax but it wasnt at all. it was so worth seeing! but thats probs cause im
a geography geek! we went to watch the sunset over it and drank champagne.
the changin colours are awesome to see! then went back for some din dins and
set up our swags and sleeping bags outside under the stars! i was very
brave!
up at 5 this morning to watch the sunrise! wasnt as good as the sunset but
stil cool! was going to climb the big rock but it was closed because of the
wind! it looked impossble too so we walked around it instead. took 2 hours.
finished at half 9 in the morning and was already about 30 degrees! the heat
here is so unbearable…it gets up to like 50 and higher during the day! we
then drove to kings canyon where we styed in another camp under the stars!
the stars were better here as the moon wasnt so bright! there were
thousands. it was beautiful. spec falling asleep underneath them! up again
at 5 to do another long walk around kings canyon! and then last 500km to
alice springs! been an awesome trip! hope i havent bored u with me rambling
on! flew to sydney today where we gonna just chil out until lyndsay leaves
me next sunday! im very scared!!!! dont want to be by myself!
anyways enough about me! whats goin on over on that side of the world??? i
want to hear from u all soon please!!! missing u lot! i wish u could come
and visit me!
mum or dad do u stil have that brochure on diff tours around s. america? i
want to see if there are any arouns chilie and argentina and when they are.
need to book the inca trail soon and sort out with dad when to do it!
love u all!

Philippines and Australia
February 28, 2007 at 9:52 am (Uncategorized)
hey all!
sorry its been a while…had a few complaints about the lack of emailin so
thought id inform u of my antics over the past few weeks!
arrived in philippines about 2 weeks ago to meet the twins! it was so good
to see them…havent seen lyndz since sept so was very excitin but after
abot 2 secs it was like we’d never been apart! the hotel was a palace! very
much appreciated after stayin in hostels! had a double bed and nice cosy
duvet! and lots of good food! and a pool! and i actually went to the gym!
went with the girls so they could get there hair done for their bros wedding
and i ended up gettin my fringe ‘relaxed’ which basdically means chemically
straightened! what will kevin say! but turned out to be the best thing in
the world it actually dries natuarally like ive straightened it! should have
got the whole lot done! anyway enough about my hair!
so was in the philippines till tuesday…then me, lyndz, lisa and tom flew
to sydney! stayed there for a few days…checked out the opera house and the
harbour bridge, pretty sweet! its like london but hot! i love it! did a bit
of shopping, met up with the twins parents! we sadly parted with lisa, tom
and billy (i miss u guys) on friday! for those of u who dont know, billy is
a ball that tom takes everywhere and has grown worringly close to!
me and lyndz went to sort out what we were gonna do till she
leaves…originally was gonna hire a cool car and drive down to melbourne
and do a bit of the ocean rd but instead we booked a ten day trip up! so we
left sydney on saturday night and took the over night bus to melbourne!
arrived early doors sunday morning (lots of drunk people roaming the
streets!) met up with one of lyndz friends who she met in NZ. went to the
beach on monday and got very brown! me and lyndz are on strict diets. hers
is a little stricter than mine. she had 2 pieces of celery for lunch and i
had yoghurt, musli and bannana! but then by dinner time were starving so
shared a pizza! we sat in the bar over lookin the beach with a bottle of
wine and watched the sunset and just chatted all night! ended up being a
little typsy!
yesterday we went on the neighbours tour! went to the erinsborough high
school and ramsey street! its so tiny and all the houses are in different
place to what i thought they were! but was pretty cool! then went to meet
carl kenedy! he was lovely! got his autograph! then got dropped off at
neightbours night! was the best night! ended up hammered! did a
quiz…thanks mike for helping out! i apologise for phoning home to find out
how u spel tootencarmoon (still dont know how to spell it) good job u werent
in! dont think that would have gone down to well! forgot where i was! one of
the questions was…if 3 men eat 3 steaks in 3 days how many steaks do 6 men
eat in 6 days? anyone???
anyways steph, toady and paul robinson were there and got lots of photos
with them! and then carls band played. they were really good actually and
then thats when it all went down hill! lyndz introduced me to ( i cant
spell it) but its a german spirit and redbull! did a few of these and the
rest of the night is a blur…dont really remember much! (MUM AND DAD STOP
READING NOW) cant remember how we got home, what time or anything about the
night. to get to ure room u have to use a key card to get in the lift up the
lift and into ure room. god only knows how we managed this…i remember a
taxi but we dont even know the name of the road when were sober so god only
knows how we told the taxi where to go! i ended up with some random email
address in my diary from a girl called angela!????! and my head torch was by
my head this morning so i dont know what i was doin with that! lyndz threw
up and apparently tripped over someones bag in our room flat on her back!
wish i remember it all sounds like it was fun! feel whoopy poo this morning
tho! been asleep most of the day!
up early tomorrow to begin our ten day trip to adeleide and then alice
springs and aires rock! cant wait! really wanted to go to aires rock but
didnt think i was gonna get the chance so uber happy about that! both of us
bought hats for when were in the desert! u may have seen the photos of us
trying them out! we look cool! then we fly back to sydney for lyndz’ last
few days of sunbathing on bondi beach! then im off up the east coast and
shes off home! really dont want her to go! having so much fun! think i might
do the oz experience rather than just the greyhound so its easier for me to
meet people! not sure tho! cant believe how quick time is going! already
been gone 2 months!
missin u all lots! got very sad lookin at harrys birthday photos…i wanted
to be there! hope u didnt have too much fun with out me!
lisa and tom hows new zealand?? havent heard from u!!!
ruth – congrats with the job!
si – also congrats with the job
speak to u soon! keep me updated with whats goin on!
lots of love sarahxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mushroom Mountain and Redbull
February 28, 2007 at 9:49 am (Uncategorized)
hey all!
how is everyone! cant really remember what ive told u but il update u
anyway! finished the advanced diving which was awesome but very scary at
times…think i got a little nitrogen narcosis on the deep dive cause i was
pretty chilled and smiley!! didnt see any sharks which im gutted about but
never mind!
went to the full moon party on friday! got the party boat over there about
5…started off pretty sweet, some pumping tunes, cold beers and a gorgeous
sunset but about 10 minutes in it became a little stressful…fearing for
our lives we held on tight hoping we wouldnt get thrown over board. we
luckly found shelter but everyone else was soaked thro! pretty comical to
watch!
had some dinner at coral bungalows, the place to stay if ure in haad rin,
and bumped into nancy and cara! then went off to party! bought some paint
and decorated myself, no glow sticks tho im afraid! had a few buckets of vod
and redbull and was on my way! found a naked man asleep on the beach with no
clothes in sight! also there is a squared off area with a big sign sayin
sleepin area! apparently in here u can fall asleep easier than on the other
side of the rope!
went up to mushroom mountain but didnt do any…have been warned off!
chilled out there for a bit had a good boogy! really cool up here looks over
the beach where the party is! about 6 started to stuggle a bit…redbull
wearing off! went back to coral bungalows for a quick nap before we got on
the boat at 7! unfortunately i missed the sunrise…which i was a bit gutted
about. im not as young as i use to be! boat home was not as bad as it could
have been! rocked up at our room about 10! pretty embarressing doin the walk
of shame through the bar with bright pink paint splattered over me at 10 in
them morning wearing what i went out in the night before! oh well!
left koh tao on monday…didnt wanna leave!
In KL now. did a bit of sight seeing yesterday and just chilling today!
gonna go to topshop later!!! i miss it! off to singapore tomorrow!
cant believe ive been away 5 weeks already! missin u all lots! lyndz cant
believe im gonna see u in like a week! cant wait to see u both!

love ya all!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Diving and Drinking
January 29, 2007 at 9:27 am (Uncategorized)
Hey all!
I’m feeling hungover and the weathers not great, plus Carina’s doing the same so you’re going to get this story twice! I am still in Koh Tao, we were only suppose to be here four 4 days but it’s now been 6 and we are not leaving until Sunday, I love it!
I’ve done my PADI course now, which was awesome! I had a bit of a moment swimming through the coral, it’s very cheesy I know but it’s pretty cool being able to breathe under water and swim with the fishes; those that have done it know what I’m on about!
I had a bit of a panic attack when I had to take my mask off though as it fills with
water, so that put me off a bit! It’s been like being back at university too, we
have theory and reading to do and had to do tests and a final exam, which I
have to say I got 100% on! Geek!!!!
We had a couple of days off to party and relax and we’re doing our advanced course tomorrow! We have to do a night dive and swim down 30m which I’m a little scared about as we probably have to swim with sharks; I’m hoping I’ll stay calm!!!
The reason we’re staying so long is that there’s no accommodation left for the full moon
so we’re getting the party boat across from here and then it takes you back at
7 in the morning! I hope I can stay up that long, but with the Redbull out
here I’m sure I’ll have no problems! I couldn’t believe it when I looked at my watch
on Saturday night and it was 6 in the morning, it was very messy (sorry Mum and Dad)!
I met some cool people, one of which lives on Norfolk Drive, or something like
that, and use to live on Pynchbek and has apparently pulled Jen! His name is
John Stone and has a brother called Rob, Jen do you know who I’m talking about?Anyway he’s taking us on the dive tomorrow!
I’m very tempted to stay here for good, all the instructors came out just
for 4 days while they were traveling and have been here ever since! It’s like
a little diving community where everyone knows everyone, very cool!
Have you all got the address to see our photos? My brother has set up a blog
thingy for me where you can all see them (and any emails I send) so you know what
I’m up to!
Its: http://sarahmiddlemiss.wordpress.com/
I’m sorry this email’s not very exciting but I’m not feeling my best today! I’m going to go and sleep now! Let me know what you are all up to anyway!
Missing you lots!!!!
Kim and Jen hurry up and get your arses out here you’ll love it!!!!

Hey guys!
This is just a short one just to say hi! Don’t worry no essays!
So how is everyone?
Carina and I arrived in Phuket on Wednesday night and are still here, it’s good to be settled for a bit because the past 2 weeks have been a bit manic! It’s not the best place in the world but the hostel is ace, there’s a common room with a widescreen TV and every DVD you could think of!
The beaches are nice but über touristy so a little ruined, a bit like Spain! I’ve started talking with a few people and have been going out to the beach with them, yesterday we ended up sunbathing in the gay section of the beach with out realizing for a good half an hour! There were all these guys in thongs and at the top of our voices we were slating them, I shouted out ‘who produces these people!’ then we went quiet, looked at each other and it clicked that we were the only girls there and when we turned around there was a massive gay proud flag! It was pretty sick actually, there were all these fat white guys with little Thai boys all over them, but it was funny!
We’ve been going out in Patong, which is full of lady boys dancing around! Last night one of them flashed us, what I can only think was supposed to be, his new vagina! I’m still a little shaken up! Some of them though are gorgeous and have ace bodies!
I haven’t come across any of this redbull that everyone’s been chatting about but I’m still looking!
I’ve not got much of a tan yet because I just can’t handle the heat, it’s just too painful, I got so burnt on Thursday, I even burnt my hands. Random! We are off to Koh Phangan tomorrow! We’ve got a bungalow on the beach that I booked and I can’t wait to hang my hammock! I’m going to explore to find the best place for us to come back to after Ko Tao!
Sorry this is a bit of an essay, but let me know what you guys have been up to!
Love ya loads
Sarah xxxx
